Here’s where we talk about what’s going on at Gorham Savings Bank and in our community. When we come across an interesting story about someone, someplace, a business, or an event, we will bring it to you. We will also post important information such as alerts concerning fraud, or tips on ways to navigate through financial challenges.

Last week, on a cold December morning, Gorham Savings Bank President & CEO Chris Emmons surprised Lydia Pinard of Gray-New Gloucester Middle School with the news that she won $1,000 for her class in the Anything Is Possible poster contest.  Lydia was being recognized at a “Student of the Month” assembly, so it was the perfect opportunity to present the $1,000 award to Lydia amongst her peers.  Lydia’s parents were also in attendance to surprise her (and to stand in the back of the room as extremely proud parents).

“I was totally surprised today and was so happy that I...

As both a spectator and (frequently) self-proclaimed intellectual I can attest that last year’s Launchpad competition was an engaging presentation of innovation and salesmanship. Besides the inescapable backdrop of competition, LaunchPad offered us an inspiring glimpse of progressive Maine business, human interest stories, and infinite more reasons I belong in audiences and not on stage.

More than 200 applications were whittled down by judging panels and popular vote; in the end Pika Energy of Gorham, Maine and their home wind turbines were selected as the first-ever...

We are modifying the way you login to Business Bill Pay on Saturday, October 12, 2013. There will be an interruption in service for approximately an hour that day, however we are not able to pinpoint the exact time the update will take place.

What’s New?

We are upgrading the way Business customers access the Bill Pay system. Users will no longer need to login to Business Bill Pay separately from Online Banking.  A single Online Banking login will give you access to the Bill Pay system.
